Types of Curved Stairlifts

Many homes have staircases that go around corners. The curves are often tight and the stairs narrow. Basically, we have two types of curved stairlifts; simple and high tech.

Simple means it requires minimal parts and motions to function; the unit understands it is going left or right along the rail and basically that is all it needs to know.   This type of stairlift is kept balance by the custom designed parallel rail system that ensures the lift stays level from start to finish.

Keeping it simple also keeps the price down.  Another added bonus to parallel rail systems is the ability to upgrade to 350 lb capacity.  Standard weight capacity is 265 lbs.  4 rail colors and 4 upholstery colors to choose.

High Tech designs are required when the cosmetic appeal of a single rail system is demanded.  These types of lifts require Advanced Swivel and Leveling technology that keeps the stairlift in an upright and level position during transit.  These types of lifts are aesthetically pleasing and ideal for narrow / tight stairwells.

The ability to rise nearly vertical allows for some unique designs including spiral staircases, plus with the Advance Swivel tech allows the user to swivel the chair to the left or right, allowing the user to ride in any direction they feel most comfortable.
